The Reading Cycle
Each book in Read · Build · Grow is explored through a simple rhythm designed to balance consistency, flexibility, and real life.
Structure without pressure
Reading often becomes inconsistent when there is no structure.
The reading cycle provides a simple rhythm that helps you:
• pace your reading
• revisit ideas over time
• reflect more intentionally
The goal is not speed or completion.
The goal is consistent exposure to ideas and time to think about them.
One book, one cycle
Each reading cycle focuses on a single business book.
The cycle typically follows a 12-week rhythm that allows ideas to unfold gradually instead of rushing through them.
During the cycle, you will:
• read assigned sections each week
• capture ideas that stand out
• evaluate those ideas through different thinking lenses
This rhythm creates enough space to notice patterns and think more deeply about what you are reading.
The schedule is a guide
The reading calendar is designed to help you stay oriented, not to create pressure.
You can:
• read ahead
• fall behind
• skim some sections
• revisit ideas later
You can still benefit from the process even if you do not complete every page.
Progress matters more than perfection.
Reflecting on what remains
Now that you understand how a reading cycle is structured, the next step is seeing how each week inside that cycle works.
At the end of each reading cycle, the most valuable insights are revisited and distilled.
These insights eventually become part of the Book Overviews library, where key ideas and action steps are summarized for future reference.
The goal of the cycle is not simply finishing a book.
The goal is to identify the ideas that are worth carrying forward.
